What are the real exercises to flatten your stomach and tighten up that area? I would like to know what exercises do work swimming ,situps,etc. I have heard so many things but I am not sure which really works.I am 5' ft 1 and I weigh 145. Losing weight is almost impossible but I would first like to try with the stomach exercises and go from there to see if I can see an improvement.Thanks

Best Answer an excellent exercise, you can do it in front of your TV: sit on a stool, and put your toes under something (piece of heavy furniture, for example). In your hands hold a little dumbbell. Please, make sure that it is not very heavy, start with one kilo, for example, or you will damage your back and spine! Slowly move the upper part of your body back, until it's parallel with the ground. Stop for a second and
move it back to the sitting position. Repeat ten times. Every week add to the number of repetitions. You will see the results in a week, guaranteed! You will see or feel under the fat - if you have any - six pack and muscles. Dumbbells do wonders. Much better than these crunches - I came up to three hundreds and there was no results AT ALL. With the dumbbells you will see it in a week.

Answer 3 if you work on just the stomach your forgetting that the body works together. in order to get one place you want it ie. a thin stomach, your forgetting the legs arms back also need work too. work on everything together and the whole machine will work. go to a local gym or something. 2008-06-24 07:37:47

Answer 5 i lost 20 LBS. by running 4-5 days a week.. no secrets their.
You can either get a flat stomach or abs. there are both hard to do at one time unless you got alot of time.
